ONDO 2024: APC CHIEFTAIN, ALHAJA GIDADO URGES MUSLIMS TO EMBRACE CONTINUOUS VOTERS REGISTRATION EXERCISE

A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Ondo State, Alhaja Hon. F I Gidado, the Iya Adinni of Akure Kingdom, has called on Muslims to participate actively in the ongoing Continuous Voters Registration, CVR exercise.

This was contained in a press release she personally signed and made available to the press in Akure on Wednesday.

She appealed to the Muslim community in Ondo State who has attained the age of Eighteen (18), to come out and participate in the ongoing Continuous Voters Registration (CVR) ahead of the November 16 governorship election in the state.

Alhaja Gidado who is also the Special Assistant, SA on Mobilisations in Akure South to APC National Women leader, stressed the need for Muslims in the State to perform their civic responsibilities which would enable them negotiate for key political appointments in the state.

She maintained that; “Our power lies in our ability to elect the leaders we can reach, leaders that have our love and interest at heart.

The Iya Adinni of Akure stated that the Muslim men and women must endeavour to exercise their civic duties by getting involved in choosing good leaders through the ballot paper.

She said the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has commenced Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) in Ondo State ahead of the governorship election on Monday, hence the need for everyone to participate in the exercise which is crucial to the forthcoming gubernatorial election.

Alhaja Gidado also congratulates President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the occasion of his one year anniversary in office.

She prayed that Almighty Allah grant him increased wisdom to continue to steer the ship of the country to the promise land as contained in his Renewed Hope Agenda programme.
