...as Council Boss urges residents to support Gov Oyebanji for second term
…Elesure of Esure-Ekiti tasks BAO to fulfill promise on town’s dilapidated road
The Oluyin of Iyin-Ekiti, Oba Deola Ajakaiye, on Thursday, commissioned five ultra modern shops built by the Chairman of Araromi Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Alade Adewale, in Esure-Ekiti.
The monarch described the project as a significant milestone, noting that it would boost agriculture and aid economic stability at the grassroots level.
Speaking with journalists, Chairman of Araromi Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Alade Adewale said the project aligns with the shared prosperity agenda of Governor Biodun Oyebanji, whose commitment to service as the state’s helmsman has been a source of inspiration for his performance at the local council level.
He used the opportunity to appeal to the people of Esure-Ekiti to support Oyebanji for a second term in office, emphasizing that he is the only person capable of steering the state toward a safer harbor.
While pledging to continue embarking on more meaningful projects that will positively impact lives, Adewale urged the town’s residents to be diligent in paying their taxes and dues, which, according to him, will enable them to enjoy more dividends of democracy.
His words, “I hereby reaffirm my loyalty with sincere appreciation to the Number One citizen of this state, the people’s and God-chosen Governor, our leader and mentor, a grassroots politician whose vision, doggedness, commitment to service, and indelible achievements in less than two years of his administration as Governor of Ekiti State have been a source of inspiration for our performance at the Local Council level.
“I must say without mincing words that I have a master we are learning from in delivering the tangible developments that we can point to as achievements in the Local Council today. I say thank you, our amiable Governor, as we continue to look forward to embarking on more projects for the benefit of our people.
“I wish to reiterate the promise that my administration will continue to embark on more meaningful projects that will positively impact the lives of our people and contribute to the development of the Local Council.
“I urge the entire people of Araromi Local Council to cooperate with my administration by paying their taxes and dues regularly as and when due. By so doing, the Local Council will be in a good position to bring more dividends of democracy to the people.”
The Elesure of Esure-Ekiti, Oba Adebanji Ajibola, appealed to the state governor to fulfill his promise by renovating the road leading to Esure, stressing that such developmental lapses pose a setback to agriculture in the town.
He also requested the governor to renovate the Esure dam and provide Rice Mini Machines for the town to aid mass production of rice.
In his remarks, the State’s Commissioner for Local Government Affairs, Folorunsho Olabode, reiterated the state government’s commitment to grassroots development, assuring the community that their grievances would be presented to the governor for appropriate attention.
