Ojuawo hails Fayemi over Election as FORAF President

Technical Adviser to Ekiti State Governor on Airport Project and APC candidate for Ekiti South 1 Federal Constituency in the 2023 election, Air Vice Marshal Rufus Adeniyi Ojuawo (retd) has joined other well meaning Nigerians to congratulate Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi on his recent election as the President of the Forum of Regions of Africa, a group of Governors and Heads of sub national entities in Africa.

AVM Ojuawo in a press release issued from his media office said Governor Fayemi has once again shown capacity, leadership and character among his peers across the continent. According to him, ‘I’m not surprised at this elevation because of the value addition record of Governor Fayemi in any group or organisation he finds himself. He is always an asset and I have no doubt that FORAF, just like the Nigeria Governors Forum, which he is the Chairman, will soon begin to enjoy the charm and development that comes with Fayemi’s leadership style’.

The APC candidate also said he has always marvelled at Governor Fayemi’s audacity to dream and his unwavering commitment to the mission which has brought unrivalled development to Ekiti State in the last four years and progress to the fold of Nigeria Governors Forum, changing the narrative of that forum for good

He said Ekiti State and indeed Nigeria should be proud of the Governor for his positive impact around the world. He prayed that God would grant the new FORAF President the wisdom, courage and strength to discharge his duties to the continental body.

Governor Kayode Fayemi who first emerged as Vice President, West Africa Region of the forum was again unanimously elected President of FORAF on September 9, 2022 at the forum’s conference in Casablanca, Morroco.
