President, Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari has declared that the discovery and drilling of oil in Nasarawa State will lead to greater prosperity in Nigeria as oil exploration activities begin today.
He made this declaration today in his virtual message to the spud-in of the Ebenyi -A Well in Middle Benue Trough, Obi Local Government, Nasarawa State.
According to him, the exploration and drilling activities would both promote greater prosperity and facilitate energy security in the country.
He said: “The surrounding communities would particularly benefit from the value created by the exploration and eventual production activities.
“The discovery and drilling of oil in Nasarawa State will lead to greater prosperity for Nigerians as well as enhance overall energy security for the country.”
