With reference to unity as one of the core aims for establishing the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, Senator Shehu Sani has claimed that the scheme has not succeeded in unifying Nigerians.
He made this claim today via his Official Twitter Account @ShehuSani while commemorating NYSC on its 50th anniversary.
On the contrary, the Senator asserted that NYSC has made significant and outstanding contributions in unifying Nigerians through the promotion of inter-ethnic relationships.
He claimed, “NYSC has not succeeded in uniting our country but it has made significant and outstanding contribution in that direction .It has lifelong established relationships partnerships and marriages across the walls of our ethnic and eligious identities, It is a cement across our diversities and divisions. If Not for the service ,many wouldn’t have known any other part of the country other than their own.”
