NYSC At 50: Nigerian Rapper, M’Jay Icee bags National Honorary Award

In commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, Nigerian rapper, Mayowa Job, popularly known as M’Jay Icee has bagged a national honorary award for his efforts to compose a song that enhances the scheme.

M’Jay Icee, who hails from Ondo State and a former President of Editorial CDS during his service year in Ekiti State, was recognised during the national celebration in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State.

The fast-rising rapper said he was motivated to compose the song due to the influence of the Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development, SAED, on his music.

He noted that culture and tourism that is being implemented in the scheme through the SAED programme gave him ideas to his popular single, “Kopa Wee.”

M’Jay Icee has numerous tracks on Apple music, Spotify, Boomplay, Audio Mack Africa and many online streaming platforms including is EP body of work released in 2021 titled “Hitman Chronicles.”
