….make case for improved welfare for members
The State Administrative Council and State Executive Council of the National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives, Ekiti State, have rejoiced with Christian members of the union for the successful completion of Lenten season and celebration of Easter in good health and sound minds.
The Union leaders also extended felicitation to Muslim members who are still in the period of fasting with a prayer to Allah to give them the strength to fulfil the required obligations and get the blessings therein.
The goodwill message was contained in a statement jointly signed by the chairman of the Association, Mr. Oladimeji Samuel- Adegbuyi the Secretary, Miss. Olabisi Ayenioye and the PRO Mrs. Odunayo Olufunmilayo.
The Nurses leaders prayed God to continue to uphold all nurses in the state and preserve their lives to celebrate many more festive seasons in good health and abundance.
They appealed to members to use the period of the Easter break to relax and relate with loved ones while encouraging those at work during the holidays to uphold the tenet of the profession which is kindness, love, care and integrity.
While appreciating the government of Ekiti State and management of various facilities in the state for the recent improvement in staff welfare, the union leaders affirmed that much more still needed to be done especially in the areas of equipments and employment of more hands.
They promised the readiness of nurses to continue to give their best to the service of the state towards ensuring that members of the public have access to qualitative health care delivery.
