The announcement by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on the emergence of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as the President-elect of the country has generated mixed reactions from Nigerians.
The announcement was made by the Chairman, INEC, Mahmood Yakubu in the early hours of today.
Social media has been awash with mixed reactions from several Nigerians as they expressed their feelings on his emergence.
Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, expressed delight at his emergence, describing it as “resounding, historic and well-deserved.”
For media personality Osi_suave said “Tinubu has been declared president-elect. And by extension is on course to become president come May 29. He has his work cut out for him, a country to unite, an ailing economy to revive and institutions to strengthen. I pray for his success If he succeeds, Nigeria succeeds.”
Another tweep reads “@officialABAT has been declared President! CONGRATULATIONS to all who contributed to this success, Time to bond toward a great(er) Nigeria regardless of political differences. The hard work starts immediately.”
So after 8 years of long-suffering under APC and Muhammadu Buhari, someone in his right senses went to the polling unit to vote or rig the election in favour of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Every 4 years Nigeria will impose on Nigeria a candidate that Nigeria doesn’t want.
“Let’s wait and see what Bola Ahmed Tinubu has to offer, For the first time in the history of Nigeria and whole world , the election has been won by the minority with the help of Inec.”
