Governor Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti State has commended the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, over the use of the BVAS for the 2023 general elections.
He stated this in an interview with newsmen after casting his vote in Ikogosi-Ekiti Unit 3 Ward 6 frontage of Oyebanji Compound.
He also hailed Ekiti electorates for coming out enmasse to cast their votes despite the issues of naira crunch and petrol scarcity.
“So far so good, there are pockets of complain. INEC have been informed to ensure it is resolved. It is not much across the state. I have been monitoring situation in the state, everything is going on well.
“I have always used my ward as an example, they came out despite the fuel scarcity to exercise their franchise. Across the state, turn out has been quite impressive given the situation and circumstances in the country.
“We must commend the Federal Government, commend INEC for improving on their resources. We cannot run away from technology, it will make the process much better and faster.”
