NEW ARABA OF ADO EKITI, IFAMUAGUN VISITS ERIWOLE SHRINE FOR OFFICIAL RITES

The newly installed Araba of Ado Ekiti, Chief Fashina Ifamuagun has visited the Eriwole shrine in Isato community to perform the official rites in line with the tradition of the land.

The shrine is a must for every Araba to visit and make covenant with the ancestors of Ado Ekiti and also offer prayers to god for the land.

At the shrine there was official slaughtering of the sacrificial lamb while prayers where said by the Apete of Ado Ekiti and chief priest of the shrine, Chief Michael Ogunleye.

Addressing newsmen, Chief Ifamuagun who was accompanied by other Ifa priests appreciated the gods for counting him worthy to clinch the exalted position.

According to him, the rites performed at the shrine were necessary to seek the support of the gods for his administration.

He promised to unite all Ifa priests in Ekiti and introduce programmes that would promote the culture and tradition of the land.

Chief Ifamuagun appreciated the Ewi of Ado Ekiti for appointing him as the Araba of Ado Ekiti with a promise to justify the confidence reposed in him.
