NAWOJ Commends Ekiti State on Environmental Progress

Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Ekiti State Chapter, has praised the Ekiti State Government for its ongoing efforts in environmental protection.

During a courtesy visit to the Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources, Chief (Mrs) Tosin Aluko, NAWOJ Chairperson, Mrs. Adewumi Ademiju, lauded the Commissioner for her innovative approaches to addressing environmental challenges. Mrs. Ademiju noted that these e f forts have significantly contributed to safeguarding the state against environmental health hazards and natural disasters.

Representing the Commissioner, the General Manager of the Ekiti State Environmental Protection Agency, Mr. Olukayode Francis Adumo, thanked NAWOJ for its recognition. He highlighted the achievements of the Commissioner, including Ekiti State’s recognition as one of the top states in climate management.

Mr. Adumo called for continued collaboration between NAWOJ and the Ministry to enhance public awareness and ensure ongoing environmental safety.
