Naira Crisis: Former Senator, Knocks Governors challenging FG in Court

Former Senator, Kaduna Central, Senator Shehu Sani has taken a swipe on state governments that challenged the jurisdiction of the Federal Government on monetary matters.

The Senator via his twitter handle said the action of the governor’s challenging the jurisdiction of the Federal government is a call for crisis.

It could be recalled that the Kaduna state Governor in conjunction with Zamfara state and Kogi state Governor sued the Federal Government on extension of deadline on the old 200, 500 and 1000 naira note.

According to the former Senator, “When State government begin to challenge the Federal Government on matters not within their jurisdiction or authority a stage is set for disintegration or crisis”.

He cautioned the governors to rescind their decision and attend to fundamental matters affecting their states.
