Monarch Fires Chief in Ekiti

A Chief in Okemesi Ekiti, Gbenga Oyewole has been dethroned by the Owa-Ooye in Council.

According to a statement made available to newsmen, the decision to relieve him of the title was reached at the statutory council meeting of the Owa-Ooye in Council held at the council chamber on 20th of March, 2023

The statement reads:”That you Honorary Chief Gbenga Oyewole has been relieved of your appointment as Olori Odo of Okemesi Ekiti from today 20 March, 2023.

“That this decision was made by the council due to your acts of gross misconducts which has brought about undue embarrassment to the council.

“That by this letter, you have been derecognized by the Owa Ooyo in Council and should henceforth stop parading your self as Olori Odo of Okemesi Ekiti.
