Moment Governor Oyebanji sighted his former English Teacher at a Town Hall Meeting on 2024 Budget in Ido-Ekiti

Governor Oyebanji, again today, September 25, 2023 justified the “ Omoluabi Governor” nickname the Ekiti people have given him, as he publicly honoured his one-time teacher, Mrs Dorcas Ogboja at a public event in Ido- Ekiti.

Mr Governor, having sighted the elderly woman, Mrs Ogboja, at the town hall meeting for the 2024 budget, instructed the MC to bring her to the high table.

The Governor left the high table, embraced and ushered Mrs Ogboja to a seat beside him on the high table. The highly elated former teacher hugged the Governor, singing songs of praises in appreciation to God who made the meeting possible.

“Help me celebrate my teacher. Mummy taught me English in my secondary school. Her husband, Chief Daniel Ogboja was the principal. It is good to be good. Mummy took me as her son. She taught well and she rebuked me when necessary but she did so with love. I am extremely happy to see her today after many years”, the Governor said.

At the end of the event, Governor Oyebanji took the former teacher in his car and drove to her house in Osi Ekiti, where he spent some time with her and her husband Chief Daniel Ogboja (who was also BAO’s former school principal)

Baba Ogboja was also visibly excited to see the Governor in his living room.

Governor Oyebanji thanked the couple for their love and the virtues they inculcated in him early in life. He recalled that the couple extended the love they had for their biological children to him and others in at Christ Apostolic Secondary school, Efon)

The Ogbojas and their household appreciated the Governor for the honour done to them by the visit, sang songs of praises and prayed for the Governor.
The Governor and his entourage departed the Ogbojas’ residence with a promise to make the visit more regular.
