MINISTRY OF INTERIOR PARTNERS UNIVERSITY OF ABUJA TO ENHANCE CAPACITY OF OFFICERS

The Minister of Interior Hon (Dr) Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo has expressed the readiness of the Ministry to partner relevant institutions towards enhancing the capacity of men and officers of the Nigeria Immigration Services.

He stated this when he received a delegation from the University of Abuja led by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Abdul-Rasheed Na’Allah.

Dr. Tunji-Ojo affirmed the need to work with the Centre for Migration Studies of the University to enhance the capacity of officers in line with international best practices.

According to him, the Ministry under his watch would leave no stone unturned towards addressing the various anomalies affecting it’s smooth operation.

The Minister stressed the need for an improved research to proffer solutions to the nation’s challenges.

He said :” Undoubtedly, the academic community is an integral component of nation building. Our growth as a nation can directly be measured by the level of investment we devote to research and development.
