MAY DAY: NANNM LEADERSHIP CELEBRATES EKITI NURSES FOR EFFECTIVE SERVICE DELIVERY

…urges government to implement skipping for members

leadership of the National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives, Ekiti State has acknowledged the great impact and commitment of its members to the delivery of qualitative health care services across the state urging them to sustain the good work.

This is contained in a statement jointly signed by the chairman of the Association, Mr. Oladimeji Samuel- Adegbuyi the Secretary, Miss. Olabisi Ayenioye and the PRO Mrs. Odunayo Olufunmilayo in commemoration of this year’s workers day.

The statement confirms that Nurses in Ekiti have shown rare commitment to their duty and had cooperated with government to ensure that medical facilities offers the best of services to the public in line with the vision and agenda of Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji.

It appreciates Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji for the improved welfare of Nurses within his eighteen months in office but said much more still needed to be done considering the enormous task and challenges they bear in the course of discharging their duties.

According to the statement, there is need for government to employ more professional nurses, provide conventional facilities and see to the outstanding benefits of members allowance and implementation of skipping for nurses so as to encourage them to do better.

The statement promises the readiness of nurses to continue to give their best in the discharge of their duties
