Ado- Ekiti Central Lions Club Donates Bedspreads to Aaye Comprehensive Health Center, Others

In a display of community support, the Lions International, Ado-Ekiti Central Lions Club has donated customized bedspreads to the Aaye Comprehensive Health Center in Igede Ekiti, Irepodun/ Ifelodun Local Government of the State.

The donation is part of the organization’s ongoing efforts to provide essential amenities to healthcare domains in the state and support vulnerable persons in the society.

Presenting the materials, the President of the Club in Ado-Ekiti, Princess Aderonke Ologunde, described the donation as a dream come true.

She said:”Since I emerged as President, I have always wanted to do this to support our health center because health is life. We are grateful for the opportunity to serve the people of Ekiti State and look forward to future collaborations that will further strengthen our community.”

She also called on the healthcare workers to use the spread effectively towards improving healthcare services.

Earlier, the Head of Primary Healthcare Centers in Ekiti state, Dr. Ayodele Seluwa, commended the initiative, noting that the customized bedspreads will not only provide comfort for the patients but also signify the importance of community support in the healthcare.

In his words, “I appreciate this young lady, the President of Lions Club, for extending this gesture to you here in Aaye. It is a great thing. God will continue to protect you all. We commend this initiative.”

Addressing the attendees of the event, the former Chairman of Irepodun/Ifelodun Local Government in Ekiti State, Chief Babalola Ogudano, a member of the Lions Club, revealed that the initiative targeted five health centers in Ekiti, and Aaye Comprehensive Health Center was included.

Elugizing the health center, Chief Ogudano said, “When it comes to healthcare, I first think of this place before any other. I am delighted to be here and show our support for the community of Aaye. For me, this healthcare center holds a special significance, and we are thrilled to be here today. I assure you that there will be more support in the future.”

Members of the community commended the Lions club describing the donation as a kind gesture.

Senior Elder in the community, Chief Ayodele Seluwa, prayed that God blesses the Lions Club for the donations, adding that the donated items will successfully serve their purpose.
