LG Chairman, Councillor Clash in Ekiti

Members of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Ilawe Ward 2 have called on the leadership of the party at the state level to intervene in the crisis between the leadership of the Ekiti South West Local Government.

The party loyalist made this known during a peaceful protest to the APC Secretariat where they alleged that the council chairman, Sikira Apolola has been at logger head with members of the legislative arm.

The protesters led by the ward Chairman, Mr Dada Lucas, the Secretary, Mr Samuel Durodola, and others explained that their visit to the Secretariat was to call the attention of the party leadership to the matter before the issue degenerates into chaos.

According to them, the chairman recently had issues with the leader of the legislative arm, Gbenga Akomolede where he allegedly slapped the legislator and assaulted him, a situation they described as uncalled for.

The leadership of APC had now summoned both parties involved for a meeting on Thursday.
