LAGOS LAWMAKER PARTNERS GOVERNMENT TO BRING SUCCOR TO LAGOSIANS

The lawmaker representing the Eti Osa constituncy 2, in Lagos State, Hon Gbonlahan Yishawu has partnered the Lagos State government to bring succour to Lagosians through the provision of free eye glasses and other support materials.

Hon. Yishawu had gone round various communities hands with Heads of Agencies and Parastatals of Lagos State to give free eye treatment and glasses to residents.

Roundoffnews crew reports that
over 3000 persons benefited from the free eye check and collected free eye glasses in Takwabae area of the riverine area.

In addition, over 3000 persons voluntarily registered for the Ilera-Eko Health Insurance scheme with a promise to support the re-election bid of Governor Babajide Sanwolu.

The lawmaker who was received amidst funfair for all his past deeds told the people that the government of APC is committed to their welfare

Yishawu said:”Thisteam crossed waters to take free eye check to Takwabae as the peolple here are faced with difficulties to acces social amenities as they are cut off from the Lagos mainland.

During the programme, the doctors were able to see some special cases beyond the scope of the program, However Hon. Yishawu Gbolahan promised to provide 500 glasses of special order to patients beyod the scope of the programme.

Also speaking, the Lagos commissner for health, Abayomi said the Takwabae community is a community that is cut off from the mainland because of no road access but said government is looking at their matter.

The commissoner said the Governor is concern about the difficulty of the community to acces basic health:

He said:”The Governor has looked at developing a network of bringing medical facilities, refurbishment of the existing Primary health center and seeking for Land from the royal fathers to build modern medical designs.

“Also, the primary health care will be upgraded and accredited under Ilera eko Health Insurance scheme so it will be easy for all that have registered to access

“The commissiner also said the Gov. Has recently launched the first Boat Ambulances for the community to bring medical personnel, consumables, vacines and attend to emergencies.
