Kano Deputy Apologizes to NSA Over Emir Controversy

Kano State’s Deputy Governor, Aminu Gwarzo, has issued an apology to the National Security Advisor, Nuhu Ribadu, retracting previous claims linking Ribadu to the state’s ongoing emirship controversy.

Speaking during a press conference at Government House, Gwarzo publicly expressed regret clarifying that the government was misinformed about Ribadu’s alleged involvement in facilitating the return of the ousted Emir of Kano, Aminu Ado Bayero.

He acknowledged that the Office of the National Security Adviser had denied the accusations and distanced itself from the claims.

In light of Ribadu’s denial and the NSA’s disassociation from the allegations, Gwarzo stated, “We have to admit that we have been misled into believing that the NSA was behind the happenings along this line.”

Apologizing for any potential embarrassment or inconvenience caused to Ribadu, Gwarzo assured the NSA of continued support and cooperation in executing his responsibilities.

He emphasized the fallibility of human beings, acknowledging that mistakes can occur, Assuring Ribadu of continued support and cooperation in executing his responsibilities as the National Security Advisor on behalf of the Governor of Kano State and himself.

“I want to assure the NSA of our continuing support and cooperation in executing his responsibility as the NSA on behalf of the Governor of Kano State and myself,” Gwarzo noted.
