JOHESU Commends Oyebanji For Increasing Subvention of EKSUTH

The Chairman, Joint Health Sector Unions, JOHESU, Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital, EKSUTH, Chapter, Comrade Farotimi has commended Governor Biodun Oyebanji for increasing the monthly subvention of the hospital.

JOHESU comprises National Union of Allied Health Professionals, NUAHP, Medical and Health Workers Union of Nigeria, MHWUN, Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions, and Senior Staff Association of Universities’ Teaching Hospitals Research.

Recall that Governor Oyebanji increased the monthly subventions of EKSUTH From N261 million to N411 million.

In a statement in Ado Ekiti, Comrade Farotimi who is also the Chairperson of the National Union of Allied Health Professionals, NUAHP noted that the intervention by the state government address the challenge  for irregular payment of salaries and by extension boost the capacity of the workers in discharging their duties.

According to her, the action of the Governor has again shown that he is indeed ready to make positive changes to the running of the hospital and fast track qualitative health care delivery.

The JOHESU Chairman also thanked the Governor for the  earlier approval of  first tranche of #200M for the infrastructural renovation and buying of equipment and tools  in the hospital.

She said: We received the news of the increment with Joy because it has been one of the major agitations of our Union.

“Our Governor is indeed a listening Governor, he is very ready and committed to good health system, we are very happy because this increment will affect the hospital positively.

Comrade Farotimi promised the readiness of the union to mobilize her members to double their efforts and services so as to justify the confidence and investment of government.
