I’ve Made Tremendous Impact in Four Months…Council Chairman Tells Ekiti Assembly

The Chairman, Oye Local Government in Ekiti State, Mr. James Ajimoko says his administration has been able to make meaningful impact on the lives of people of the council within four months of assumption of office.

Ajimoko spoke while presenting his account of stewardship before the Ekiti State House of Assembly.

He explained that his administration gave priority to provision of basic amenities, infrastructure and improved security.

His speech: “Let me first appreciate God, the present State Government and the good people of Oye Local Government for giving us this wonderful opportunity to serve them.

“We have been able to put across our determination and will to achieve our set goals. It has not been easy as we face the problem of generating enough fund to meet our ever-growing responsibilities and demands from the good people of our Local Government

“Being the head of a democratically elected administration, I believe it is only right for me to give account of my stewardship in my six months
in office.

We have designed programmes to meet the yearnings and aspirations of our people.

“Having realized the peculiar nature of our setting, the present Government in Oye Local Government has been able to impact lives positively in the areas of Infrastructure and Industrial Development, Maintenance of Healthy Environment, Agriculture, Grading of Roads, Maintenance of Peace and Security in tandem with the 5-Pillars of Governor Kayode Fayemi.

“Distinguished Honourable Members of the House, it is now left for you to measure  our performances on the basis of the scorecard presented.

He promised to continue to work to deliver the dividends of democracy to  people in the Local Government
