48 hours after commencing ground operation in Gaza, the Israeli troops have rescued 1 abductee.

The Israel Defense Force (IDF) disclosed this on its X account @IDF

It reads, “She is home. Megidish was abducted by Hamas on October 7. Tonight, she was rescued during ground operations. Ori is now home with her family.”

Since Hamas attacked Israel on 7 October, killing over 1,400 mainly Israeli civilians and abducting dozens, the Israel Air Force has been striking suspected Hamas hideouts and tunnels in Gaza. Joining the Air Force, the Israeli ground troops have recently stormed Gaza to comb the City for a rescue mission.

In doing this, Civilians in Gaza have continued to suffer Israeli operations in deaths, injuries from air strikes and scarcity of humanitarian needs.

Also, the International Spokesperson of Israel Defense Force, Lt. Col. Richard Hetcht, via his X handle @LtColRichard, said, “This is a war against an enemy that rather than investing in its civilians has invested in digging down massive tunnels under mosques, universities, schools, UN facilities”.
