Israeli-Hamas War: US reaches Arab States, seeks release of hostages in Hamas custody

The United State, US Secretary Antony Blinken has spoken respectively with the foreign representatives of the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Qatar for the release of hostages in Hamas custody and a call for peace.

The US Secretary of State made this known on his X handle @ SecBlinken.

He said, “I spoke today with Emirati Foreign Minister, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to discuss ongoing efforts to address humanitarian needs in Gaza and prevent further spread of the conflict. We also reaffirmed the need to end the conflict in Sudan and the importance of the U.S.-UAE strategic partnership.

“A sustainable peace between Israelis and Palestinians is a shared priority for both the U.S. and Saudi Arabia. Spoke with Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister, Faisal bin Farhan Al-Saud, to discuss efforts to reinforce regional stability and security, as well as the urgency of addressing humanitarian needs in Gaza.

Also, he said, I “talked to Qatari Prime Minister Muneera. A.AL Thani today. Thanked him for Qatar’s efforts to broker a deal to release hostages and discussed next steps to expand humanitarian assistance to civilians in Gaza and bring the remaining hostages home.”
