I REMAIN APC CHAIRMAN IN  IJESA ISU WARD 7, KEHINDE AWOLEYE

…dismisses purported rumor

The Chairman, All Progressives Congress, APC, Ward 7 Ijesa-Isu Ekiti in Ikole Local Government Area of Ekiti State, Kehinde Awoleye, has described as false and mischievous the claims by some over ambitious elements that he has been suspended as the party chairman in the ward.

In a statement, Awoleye said he did not engage in any wrong doing nor contravene any law of the party that could warrant such action.

He therefore, called on party supporters to disregard the news noting that he remains committed in discharging his duties for the growth of the party.

The statement read: “It has been brought to my notice that a group within the Ward Executive of the All Progressives Congresss (APC) Ward 7, Ijesa Isu Ekiti, in Ikole Local government  had suspended me as the Chairman of our great party in Ward 7, Ijesa Isu Ekiti, Kajola LCDA.

“I wish to notify the general public particularly our leaders and teeming party members  that I’m not aware of any meeting where such decision was taken to investigate me of any allegations and at no time did anybody accuse me of any wrong doing to warrant a suspension.

“I’m aware that some members of the executive including the vice chairman of the party have been going around  to make spurious allegations against me but I have not been called by any committee or panel of investigation before the issuance of the purported letter of suspension.

“I hereby urge our party leaders members and supporters to disregard the news of my  suspension being sponsored and orchestrated by an over ambitious element who want to destroy others to remain in power at all cost.

“I  hereby restate that I am the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ward 7, Ijesa Isu Ekiti. I’m loyal and committed to our party ideals and shall continue to serve the Ward with all the energy and vigour in me.”
