Group Donates Food Items to Vulnerable in Ilupeju-Ekiti

No fewer than 84 vulnerable children and elderly women in Okeji Community in Ilupeju-Ekiti benefited from the free food items sponsored by Lagos Food Bank Initiative in collaboration with Foundation for Excellent Living and Development for Youth and Women.

According to the Facilitator, Olajumoke Omisore, the food outreach program was in commemoration of the 2024 Children’s Day celebration aimed at reaching out to women and vulnerable children in the community.

She noted that the food outreach program will reduce lack of food, improve access to basic needs and encourage love and unity among the beneficiaries.

She went further to advocate for selfless donations among wealthy people in the society and the establishment of strategic partnerships leveraging on strong online presence.

On their part, the Women Leader in the area thanked and appreciated the organizer for bringing smiles to their faces and prayed that they will continue to grow in grace.

The Youth President, Engr. Fagbemi urged the organizers to extend the kind gestures to other communities and incorporate the youths to support and volunteer.
