….meets Minister of Youths Development in Abuja
The Chairman, Ekiti State Sports Commission, Sunday Ola and the Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande have resolved to partner towards the development of youths in Ekiti State particularly through sports.
During the meeting in Abuja, Sunday Ola confirmed that sport is a significant sector that has the capacity to create job, wealth and boost the economy of any society if well harnessed.
He highlighted the various intervention programs of the state Governor, including the ongoing renovation of the Oluyemi Kayode Stadium hence the need to seek the support of the Minister in order to complement the Governor’s efforts.
He urged the Minister to give preference to Ekiti in various programs of the Ministry.
Responding, the Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande congratulated Governor Oyebanji on his recent award as Silverbird Man of the Year, describing the honour as a sign of his acceptability by the people.
He said the Ministry had in pipeline various developmental programs for youth cutting across sectors, with a promise that Ekiti would be duly carried along.
