Governor Akeredolu Vacates Office Over Ill Health

Governor of Ondo State, Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has reportedly hand over power to his deputy, Lucky Aiyedatiwa owing to the state of his health.

This was relayed on Tuesday by the Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Olamide Oladiji.

The speaker confirming the state of Akeredolu’s health revealed the confirmed receipt of the governor’s medical leave which confirmed his 21-day leave to receive medical treatment abroad starting from the 7th of June to the 6th of July.

Olamide also revealed that the governor also stated in the letter that his deputy, Mr Lucky Aiyedatiwa, should take up his responsibility as the acting governor for the period he will be away.
