It was an atmosphere of glamour and glitz as the 1994-2000 Home Branch Set of Christ’s School Old Students’ Association, Ado-Ekiti, held their annual get-together party in a grand style.
The get-together aimed at reuniting classmates of one of the foremost school in Ekiti State had in attendance honourable men and women drawn from different parts of the state.
In his welcome speech, the Home Branch Chairman, Ojo Ayomipo Martins, said the event affords them the opportunity to meet, discuss, network, wine and dine with love.
While commending them for their commitment towards the growth of the association, he urged them to maintain the relationship and togetherness that has yielded fruitful results.
Highlight of the event was a lecture entitled: “Work Stress Management: Implications for Healthy Living.” delivered by a Family Physician and Founder Caresville Family Hospital, Dr. Olumide Obe.
Dr. Obe, who defined stress as the psychological and physical response that results when a person’s resources (actual or perceived) are not sufficient to cope with life’s demands and pressures, said it can manifest through physical problems, behavioural signs and work-related manifestations.
He went further to recommend ways of coping with stress such as; identifying unhealthy coping mechanisms, being physically active, building healthy relationships, change of attitude etc.
