GIVING IS NOT CRIME, DON’T BURDEN YOUR BENEFACTORS…PROPHET OMITADE WARNS

Prophet James Omitade of the Holy Trinity Authority Church, Ikere Road, Ado Ekiti has expressed concern over the way some people often  place burden on their benefactors.

Prophet Omitade in a sermon titled “THE EVIL THOUGHTS THAT DESTROYS ACT OF GOODNESS” explained that being kind is not a crime and should not be taking for granted by people.

According to him, because it is more blessed to give than to receive, several people give even out of lean purses but unfortunately many people thought its a right and the moment they could not get from their benefactors they began to say evil against them.

Omitade said: “People are buoyed up by God’s word that says the Lord loves a cheerful giver. In all honesty, God does not despise the givers as He rewards them in one way or the other.

“Nevertheless, our society today has been pummeled by coveteousness into putting their burdens on their benefactors. Most of the people that receive freely end up believing that it is their right to be given and if their benefactors don’t remember in good time , they will begin to disturb them with calls, messages and demands outrightly.

“The Bible tells us in the book of Proverbs 21:26 “He coveteth greedily all the day long; but the righteous giveth and spareth not” why should people fold their arms only to end up begging from hardworking folks? The worst is the uncomplimentary remarks that come out of their mouths just because they felt the “gratis” must increase and never decrease no matter how lean the purse of the giver is.

“How many beneficiaries repay the goodness done to them? Someone will say they’re incapacitated by lack hence they cannot repay. This is a foul thinking! Why? A heart of gratitude will go into the closet and having thanked God from the depth of his/her heart, will lift the hand of the giver before the throne of grace.

“Most people whose hearts have been seared by saprophytic culture throw caution to the wind to the extent that their unbridled overtures weaken the heart of several kind givers. It is unfortunate that good moral upbringing have vanished from several homes.

Prophet Omitade noted that  as much as it is blessed to give than to receive,  is it also not required of them to strive to covet being blessed?

“Even within the home, it is not all the time the wife should ask for money from the husband. The queen of the home supposed to leave some rooms to spin surprises on her husband with her acumen.

“Examine yourself and your kind of lifestyle How much do you appreciate those who helped you yesterday? How many of your benefactors retain their peace of mind after helping you? What comes up in your heart/mind every time you remember the good someone did to you at one point in time or the other? One basic truth we need to realize is that anyone who is stingy covets and does not bless others. Tell me, how will such ever be blessed? he concluded.
