FUEL SCARCITY:EKSG Taskforce Places Marketers Under Surveillance to Avert Diversion

….Says a large consignment of PMS is set to be delivered in Ekiti today.

The taskforce committee on fuel scarcity constituted by Gov. Biodun Oyebanji has placed some fuel stations in the state under surveillance.

The stations are under watch for possible diversion of the product which would attract serious sanction.

The Chairman of the Taskforce committee, Mr. Adesokan Israel made this known in an interview with newsmen on Saturday in Ado Ekiti.

Adesokan who led the field monitoring team, said products distibuted by NNPC to the marketers are expected to arrive the petrol stations within 24 hours.

He said “The issue of diversion has become worrisome and the government will nip it in the bud in the interest of the people most especially the masses,”.

The Chairman urged the petrol dealers and stations not to hoard the product or hike the cost as there would be serious consequences if they do.

The Chairman therefore listed the fueling stations, with the quantity of petrol available to them and what’s expected of them today in Ekiti

He urged them all to be law-abiding as there would be effective monitoring on their activities.
