FSTC Usi-Ekiti Students Protest over bed-bug infested hostel, transfer of 42 teachers

Students of Federal Science and Technical College, Usi-Ekiti has recently staged a protest to express their grievances over an alleged invasion of bedbugs in their hostels and transfer of 42 teachers in the school.

ROUNDOFFNEWS gathered that, the students want the reinstatement of their teachers and the resuscitation of their bedbug infested hostels.

Speaking with one of the parents who maintained anonymity, she expressed displeasure on the condition of the hostel, hence, demanded for quick intervention from relevant authorities.

She said, “The time I came to school for open day yesterday, l saw one bedbug on my son, being a new student in the hostel, he could not identify it. They were moving together joyfully. The school authority should please do something about it.”

However, as at the time of this report, efforts to reach the school authorities proved abortive.
