Free JAMB Form: ODF Foundation Begins Screening of 7,000 Applicants in Ekiti

The Opeyemi David Falegan Foundation, ODF has begun screening of prospective candidates who applied for the free JAMB form sponsored by the foundation.

The screening is due to the high number of students that applied for the free JAMB form.

According to the foundation, over 7,000 applications were received from students from across the state while the foundation announced initial plans to give the free form to 2,000 students but has now been increased to 5,000 due to influx of applicants.

Speaking with journalists, the Special Adviser to ODF, Temitope Samuel assured that the screening is out of merit to ensure that only students who deserve the opportunity got it.

According to Samuel, the founder, who doubles as a Member of the British Royal Air force, is committed to helping the teeming Ekiti youths in their academic pursuit so as to ensure a better society.

He revealed that the best candidates that will emerge from the JAMB examinations would be offered scholarships to any tertiary institution in the country.

His words: “Education is key, without education you cannot achieve some heights in life. This is why ODF is giving out the free JAMB form every year for the past Eight years.

“This initiative is about giving the students a better opportunity tomorrow. ODF decided to give the best and quality education to the students.

“This year we have seen over 7,000 people that registered already. We are going to place it thorough screening and the best students will be given this form irrespective of your tribe and religion.

“If they perform well in their JAMB, the foundation will give them scholarship in any Higher Institution.”

Some of the beneficiaries commended the foundation for giving them the free form and pledged to utilize the opportunity given to them in their academic pursuit.

Bamidele Busuyi said: “This is a great opportunity for me because I don’t have money to buy for myself my family and I are happy and grateful.”

Chidimma Okeke said: “This is a good opportunity to those that are taking JAMB for the first time and those that are writing again. This privilege will keep me on my toes to do excellently well to avoid re-sitting for JAMB.”
