In the Celebration of Christmas, Widows across the State have benefited from the philanthropic gesture of a former governorship aspirant, Otunba’Demola Popoola, ODEP
ODEP, who sees the widows as one of the people to be properly taken care of in the society distributed food stuffs to the them in the spirit of Yuletide.
Among the gift that were distributed are cash, rice, salt, and many other items.
He explained that the essence of the distribution is to cushion the effects of the various challenges experienced by widows, stressed that his late mother was a widow , and he has a deep experience on the feelings and needs of widows
He gave an assurance that he would not relent in giving necessary support to the widows across the state
Popoola therefore appealed to all the residents of Ekiti State to keep safe during the festive period.
In response the President Widow Association, Ekiti State, Mrs Fatuase, commended Otunba’Demola Popoola ,for taking the widows as one of his priorities in this festive period.
“We really appreciate this kind gesture and we pray God grants him his heart desires and continue to keep him and his family” they said.
