Former Ekiti PDP Women Leader Faults Party’s Caretaker Committee List

…calls for inclusion of more women

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Chieftain  in Ekiti State, Hon (Mrs) Mrs Folasade Akinrinmola  has faulted the new list of the caretaker Committee of the party set up by the National Secretariat for Ekiti, saying women are not well carried along.

Mrs Akinrinmola, former Chairperson of Gbonyin Local Government said the National Leadership of the PDP failed to do due diligence in  coming up with the 19 – member list which only has only two women.

Mrs Akinrinmola urged the party to include six female in the list inorder to give women a sense of belonging.

She also alleged that some members of the party who had indicated interest to contest were included in the list.

The PDP woman therefore charged the National Secretariat to withdraw the list and do the necessary amend inorder to reflect the true image of the party.asxbring representative of all.

She equally warned that failure to correct the alleged anomalies could dampen the spirit of the women folks in the party or forced them to quit.

“I am surprise to see a list full of men with only three women. What are they trying to tell the women who had stood by the party in difficult times, are they saying women are no longer relevant in the party. Even if they claimed to know the credentials of active women in Ekiti can’t they consult some of us who had led the party before ?” She queried
