Former Amotekun Commander Hands Over to Successor

…says he has no regret

The former Commander of Amotekun Corps in Ekiti State, Brigadier-General Joe Komolafe (rtd), said he has no regret serving the corps.

He disclosed this on Tuesday in Ado-Ekiti during the formal handing over to Brigadier-General Olu Adewa (rtd) as the new Commander of the Corps.

Komolafe confirmed that he did his best as a pioneer to build solid foundation for the corps hoping that his successor would continue from where he stopped.

While calling on Ekiti residents to support the new Commander, he extended gratitude to the former Governor of the state, Kayode Fayemi, who brought him on board as the Commander of the security outfit.

He said: “It’s not easy to start an organisation that is just new and we all know the challenges of a new organisation.

“God being on our side, with the support of Government and people of Ekiti state, I make bold to say that we made appreciable progress in the fight against crime.

“I want to plead with everybody in the state to cooperate with the new commander like they did, during my three-year tenure. They should do more, it’s not about me, it’s about the security of Ekiti state and Nigeria. I have left for good so, I have no regret.
