Flood:Commissioner for Environment Visits Affected Areas in Ado Ekiti

…promises government’s intervention

The Ekiti State Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources, Chief Tosin Aluko has visited one of areas affected by flood in Ado Ekiti, Igirigiri.

The area was badly flooded owing to the recent down pour recorded.

The commissioner who inspected the area sympathized with the people with a promise to communicate the Governor for necessary action.

She explained that the government of Oyebanji was committed to the safety and well-being of the people

However, Chief Aluko cautioned people against building and dumping of refuse on water ways.

Those on the entourage of the commissioner are the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources, Mr. Babatunde Alokan, The General Manager, State Environmental Protection Agency, Mr. Kayode Adumo, The General Manager, Ekiti State Waste Management Authority, Engr. Osalusi and The Senior Special Assistant on Communication to the governor, Mrs Mary Oso-Omotosho.
