Finally, Ekiti Assembly Submits Result of Screened Commissioner Nominees to Governor Oyebanji

The Ekiti State House of Assembly has announced the successful transmission of its Resolution on the list of successful nominees to the Executive for further action(s).

In a release made available in Ado Ekiti, the Chairman, House Committee on Media and Public Affairs, Hon. Babatunde Oke stated that the transmission of the list of the screened and confirmed Twenty-One (21) Commissioner nominees forwarded to the House by Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji completes the required constitutional processes on the appointment to the office of Commissioner as enshrined in Section 192(2) of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended).

According to the House spokesman, upon transmission of the list to the governor, it is expected that he will undertake the swearing-in and assignment of portfolios to the Commissioners.

He concluded by affirming that the Ekiti State House of Assembly as a responsive and progressive institution remains dedicated to upholding the principles of good governance and delivering on the aspirations of the people.
