The selected members of the Nigeria Army have undergone Exercise Restore Hope IV Series training and drills for coordinated operations toward national security objectives.

This was disclosed in a statement signed by the Director of Army Public Relations, Brigadier General, Onyema Nwachukwu, and obtained from the verified Twitter handle of the Nigeria Army, @HQNigeriaArmy.

The statement partly reads that “The training which began on the 25 of January 2023, had troops drawn from various formations and units, who have been undergoing rigorous training and drills in marksmanship, unarmed battle drills and other advanced Special Forces training.”

Also, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya has urged troops of the Nigerian Army to deploy skills and knowledge gained from the training for the attainment of national security objectives.

Gen Yahaya urged the troops recently during the graduation ceremony of officers and soldiers trained in the Series, at the Nigerian Army Training Centre, Kachia, Kaduna.

Gen. Yahaya said that the first to the third series of Exercise Restore Hope was conducted by foreign partners, while the fourth series was solely conducted by the Nigeria Army Training Team with the advisory of the foreign partners.

He stated that the Exercise Restore Hope training series provides the platform for the NA to sustain its efforts to adequately prepare the troops for operations in a complex and dynamic security environment.
