EXCITEMENT AS LCDA CHAIRMAN DONATES BOOKS TO PUPILS

As part of his commitment to better the lives of  people of his council and deliver dividends of democracy to the grassroots, the Executive Chairman of Ado West Local Council Development Area( LCDA), Hon Taiwo Adeyemi Alagba has  distributed writing materials to primary school pupils across the LCDA.

The gesture is one out of many carried out by the chairmen to put smiles on the faces of people of the council and cushion the effect of the current economic hardship.

Speaking with journalists during the distribution, Hon. Aagba said his intention was to also complement the efforts of Governor Kayode Fayemi towards  enhancing the  standard of education in the state.

The Chairman said the gesture was just a tips of an ice berg with a promise to do more for his people.

Speaking on behalf of the benefiting schools, the Chairperson, Association of Primary School Head Teachers of Nigeria AOPHSON Mrs Moyo Adeyemi thanked the chairman saying the gesture was first of its kind.

She affirmed that the materials would encourage the pupils to learn better.

Roundoffnews observed that the pupils who could not hide their feelings were seen jubilating as the books were handed over to them.
