Speaking with Journalists, the State NUP Chairman, Comrade Joel Akinola hailed the governor for his magnanimity in fulfilling the promise he made to the Union during the 2024 Pensioners’ Day held on 12th October, 2024.

Comrade Akinola, who described it as one befitting and deserving of the Union seized the opportunity to appreciate and prayed for the Governor for the kind gesture.

He expressed the readiness of NUP in the State to keep him in office with their votes at the next governorship election.

In his words, “For the past 12 years, we have been struggling to have a viable, dependable, befitting bus that we can use for ourselves and for the purpose of the union.

“I pray by the power of God almighty, the vehicle will remain a tool of achievements for us.

“We want to seize this opportunity to thank the governor for his magnanimity and remembering us at this time that when we cried unto him, in less than one week, he listened to our cry and made that cry to dry off.

“We pray that God almighty will continued to be with him as he is marking his second year in office. We pray that he will successfully complete the tenure and even go for his second term because he is a man of achievement.

“We are pleased to be associated with him and I am sure that he is pleased to be associated with us.”
