EXCITEMENT AS EKITI ASUSS DISBURSES 1M TO FAMILIES OF TWO LATE MEMBERS

The Academic Staff Union of Secondary Schools ASUSS Ekiti State has brought succor to the immediate  families of two members of the union who died in active service.

The union through its special welfare scheme gave out five hundred thousand naira each to families of the deceased

The programme which was held at the temporary secretariat of the union in Ajilosun Ado Ekiti was in partnership with Heirs Life Assurance/ Heirs Insurance.

Presenting the cheque to the beneficiaries,  Chairman of the Academic Staff Union of Secondary schools ASUSS Ekiti State, Com. Sola Adigun said unionism is beyond agitation alone but involved welfare of members and support for them even in the grave.

Com. Adigun explained that ASUUS would continue to set examples for all other unions and institutions on how best to give members sense of belonging.

He advised members of the union to enroll for the National Health Insurance Scheme and every credible insurance policy due to their benefits.

Also speaking, the Head, Retails and Sales, Heirs Life Assurance / Heirs Insurance Ltd, Mrs. Temidayo Molumo congratulated the beneficiaries and acknowledged the strides of the leadership of ASUSS in making life better for their members.

The beneficiaries could not hold their joy as they
appreciated the leadership of ASUSS for the comfort.
