Ex-Ekiti Speaker establishes Journalism Academy, seeks media, stakeholders support.

The Founder, Chief Executive Officer of the Africanvoice International Training and Development Academy (AITDA), Hon. Olugboyega Aribisogan has unveiled the 2024 blueprint for his newly established School of Journalism and Communication.

While unveiling the blue print at the Academy along Ado Afao road, the former Speaker of Ekiti state House of Assembly said, media professionals and stakeholders were invited to join as partner in progress as the academy move to produce qualify and competent media professionals.

Mr Aribisogan noted that the academy was created to contribute its quota to the society and make education accessible and affordable for the people

He said admission is ongoing in the academy academy urging candidates who want to study courses such as Journalism and media studies, News/magazines production and management, graphics and designs, visual communications among others to appy.

According to him, the institution serves as a platform to educate interested candidate on media and Information technology, adding that the school sought to solve national and transnational problems so as to cause positive change in the society.

“We also function as a multi-disciplinary organization by providing other services such as Media Consultancy, Printing and Publishing, Branding Advisory and Marketing Campaigns, Rental and hospitality services etc.

“In our quest to equip our students and trainees with practical knowledge in Newspaper and Magazine production, we have resumed the production of the hard copy and online editions of our news magazine -AFRICANVOICE INTERNATIONAL.

The Africanvoice Public Lecture Series And Awards (APLSA) will be launched in the middle of this year and will serve as the fulcrum of the Public Interactive Discourse Programme (PIDP) of the Africanvoice International School of journalism and Communications.

On his own, the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Biodun Oyebanji on public affairs, Chief Niyi Ojo noted that government alone could not develop the state, hence the need for the support of individuals in making Ekiti stand out among its peers.

Chief Ojo commended the founder of African voice academy, Mr. Gboyega Aribisogan for siting the institution in Ekiti State,saying he’s action is worthy of emulation.

On their parts the general managers of Progress F.M Ado Ekiti, Dr. Adebola Agbaje, who was represented by the Head of News and Current Affairs, Mr. Bunmi Oluwalana and Broadcasting service of Ekiti State, BSES Mr. Olu Popoola, his director of news, Mr. Akinwale Olaoye pledged their supports for the institution in actualising its goals.
