The Ewi of Ado Ekiti, Oba Adeyemo Adejugbe has installed Chief Sunday Akinyemi -Adebayo from the family of Ojoribata as the new Akogun of Irona quaters, Ado Ekiti
The traditional rite was performed at the palace of Ewi of Ado Ekiti in line with the custom of Ado Ekiti.
After the installation, the new Akogun of Ado Ekiti moved round some strategic places and pay homage to some chiefs.
Speaking with Roundoffnews.com, the newly installed Akogun appreciated Ewi of Ado Ekiti, Oba Adeyemo Adejugbe, members of Ewi in Council, Aare Afe Babalola, Olori Ebi Ojoribata, Chief Michael Akinyemi-Akintola, Chief Executive Officer of Gbamila Tradomedical Centre Alahji Gbamila Adeoye, Retired Major Sunday Adewumi, daughters and sons of Akogun family both home and abroad for their support to make the chieftaincy tittle a reality.
Chief Akinyemi Adebayo promised to use the new position to contribute to the development of Ekiti State and Ojoribata family, asking for necessary support from relevant people.
In an interview, one of the sons of Ojoribata family and chief executive officer of Gbamila Tradomedical Centre, Alhaji Gbamila Adeoye urged the new Akogun of Ado Ekiti to use the exalted position to touch many lives and extend hands of love to other aggrieved members.
