EU donates drones to West Africa Regional Army

The European Union has donated two long-range drones and a vehicle for the Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF), a West African military Force to combat insurgence.

This was made known in a press statement signed by the Military Public Information Officer, Lieutenant Colonel Abubakar Abdullahi.

The EU donation was unveiled at the graduation ceremony of the second batch training of drone pilots for troops in Sector 1, which took place in Ndjamena recently.

As gathered from the Nigerian Army X account @HQNigerianArmy, the Force Commander of the MNJTF, Major General Ibrahim Sallau Ali said, the MNJTF is enhancing its surveillance capabilities to achieve its mandate.
