The Chairman, Emure Local Government Area, Hon. Tosin Adedayo, has strongly condemned the heinous acts of banditry in Ekiti State, particularly the brutal killings of two revered monarchs, Oba Dr Olatunde Olusola,The Olumojo of imojo Ekiti, and Oba David Ogunsakin, the Elesun of Esun Ekiti on Monday.
This tragic incident, according to the Chairman, is disheartening and deviates from Ekiti State’s longstanding reputation as one of the most peaceful states in the country.
Shocked by this ugly development, Hon. Adedayo also expressed his sadness and concern about the abduction of pupils and teachers of Apostolic Faith Nursery and primary school in Emure Ekiti.
He extended his heartfelt sympathy to the State government and as well as the family of the kidnapped children who are the victims of these ugly developments.
Furthermore, the Chairman also conveyed his confidence in the security apparatus’ capabilities to apprehend the perpetrators and ensure the release of the victims without delay.
He implored everyone to remain calm and be security conscious while calling on residents of the area to provide any useful information that can aid the process and report to the nearest police station.
