…as EKSU Consultancy Services Limited Organises retreat for academic staff
The Vice Chancellor of Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti, Professor Edward Olanipekun has advised academic professionals to imbibe sharing of acquired knowledge and professional experience with their counterparts both within and outside the university to expand the scope of their knowledge acquisition in order to maintain a continued relevance in contemporary university system.
He gave the advice in his welcome address at a 2-day Retreat with the theme: PROFESSIONAL ETHICS AND ACADEMIC RESPONSIBILITIES organized by EKSU Consultancy Services Limited for academic staff of the university.
The EKSU Helmsman, who described the resource persons at the event, invited to handle carefully chosen topics, as great scholars of international repute, charged the participants to take the best advantage of the Academic discourse for the improvement of quality service delivery in the institution.
The Vice Chancellor used the occasion to assure the gathering that, his administration would not relent in it’s determination in giving priority to welfare of staff of the university.
The resource persons at the training included a former Vice Chancellor of the University of Ibadan, Professor Idowu Olayinka, Professor Ganiyu Oboh who handled the topic ‘Doing Research and Attracting Grants, while the topic ‘ EKSU Laws Statues and Regulations; Implications for Acceptable Conduct, Miss induct and Gross Misconduct Among Teaching Staff of the University’ was taken by a former Registrar of the university, Dr Omojola Awosusi. Also present at the programme were the Principal officers of the university, Provosts College of Medicine and College of Postgraduates Studies, Ag. Director, EKSU Consult, among others.
