EKITI WORKERS JOIN NATIONWIDE PROTEST

…seek end to high cost of food, other commodities

The Nigeria Labour Congress NLC Ekiti State has joined others nationwide to protest the current economy hardship in the country.

Members of the union who converged at the Fajuyi Ado Ekiti to express their displeasure over the high cost of foods and other commodities hold placards with variou inscriptions such as Ebi Npa wa, remove tax on drugs, we say no to slavery, end insecurity, Addrees high cost foods.

Speaking with newsmen, the Chairman of NLC in Ekiti State, Comrade kolapo Olatunde said the peaceful protest became necessary to send signal to governments at level that people could no longer endure the current economy situation.

He called on president Bola Tinubu to find lasting solution to the ugly development in the Intrest of average Nigerians
