Ekiti SSG Urges Residents to Make Good Use of New Waste Bins

…says Governor Oyebanji committed to clean and hygienic environment

The Secretary to the Government of Ekiti State, Dr. Habbibat Adubiaro has appealed to residents of the state, particularly Ado Ekiti to make proper use of the newly procured waste bins and desist from indiscriminate dumping of refuse in unauthorized places.

Dr. Adubiaro made the plea on Saturday after she joined the Deputy Governor, Chief Monisade Afuye to monitor the February edition of environmental sanitation in Ekiti West Local Government.

The SSG cautioned residents against abuse of the Dano bins such as dumping of feaces, dead animals, fire among others, so as to justify the huge investment of government in the bins.

She equally advised residents of the state to always take advantage of the monthly sanitation exercise to clean their environment so as to guide against diseases.

Dr. Adubiaro restated the commitment of Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji to procure more bins into strategic locations within the state as part of efforts to make the environment clean and safe for all.

She affirmed that the Governor is concerned about the wellbeing of the people and would not hesitate to do anything to achieve such foresight.

The SSG urged the people to continue to support the Governor and cooperate with his government so as to enable him achieve his dream of making Ekiti a model and pride of place.
