EKiti Speaker, Majority Leader Attend National Conference of State Legislators in USA

In a bid to ensure the growth of Nigerian legislature, Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Mr. Funminiyi Afuye and the majority Leader of the House, Chief Gboyega Aribisogan are currently attending this year’s National Conference of State Legislators holding in Denver, Colorado, USA.

Mr.Afuye and Chief Aribisogan are part of the thirty two-man delegation representing Nigerian Majority Leaders’ Forum and the Forum of Clerks at the conference.

In a statement, Chief Aribisogan said the programme would provide opportunity for the delegation to interact with American Legislators and how they have been relating with the Federal legislature.

He noted that the conference would also afford them the opportunity to get ideas on how modern legislative practice could impact on the socio- economic life of the citizens of Nigeria.

According to the Majority Leader of the Ekiti Assembly, the event will further touch on strategies for promoting legislative capacity and information exchange among Legislators.
